Behind the scenes: Character posing

We are excited to bring you ... another behind-the-scenes update as we continue to enhance our panoramas in TimeLens. Today, we're focusing on a crucial aspect of our work: posing the characters in our 3D models to create lifelike and engaging scenes. We don’t just want our panorama’s to show the architectural splendor of ancient sites but also bring them back to life with people who once walked in these places. New lighting in our existing TimeSpots

Another look behind the scenes ... this time with one of the new TimeSpots we are currently building in Greece: the Acropolis of Athens. This particular scene depicts the Panathenaic procession as it reaches the Acropolis. Priests, attendants, citizens, musicians, and sacrificial animals all move through these spaces in a carefully choreographed ceremonial event. We carefully place every character to make the reconstruction feel believable and alive. It doesn't look like too much now, but...

Hadrian's library in progress

Today, Hadrian's Library ... is mostly foundations and scattered architectural elements. You can recognise the layout, but it is difficult to grasp what the space actually was. In the 2nd century AD, this was a large, enclosed complex built by Emperor Hadrian, combining a courtyard, colonnades, and spaces for study and gathering. Our reconstruction focuses on the central courtyard. The surrounding colonnades, the long pool, and the overall structure are being rebuilt based on archaeological...
